35. System Administrator


Our client is one of the UK's leading specialist providers of pensions, employee benefits and payments expertise, handling £2 trillion annually. They have won numerous awards for the work they do and are continuing to grow. The group provides consulting, software, training and business process outsourcing services that enable public and private sector organisations to deliver employee benefits more efficiently.

As a result of this success they are looking for a new member of staff for their Reading office. The role will focus primarily on pensions systems support but they are happy to consider either a highly IT literate occupational pensions administrator or an experienced systems administrator with a pensions background. To support the administration teams in the day to day administration of small to medium sized Occupational Pension Schemes in their systems requirements.

To implement and support the self service sites offered to Clients.To monitor and work on assigned systems change requests and to report to Implementation/Support Managers any areas where tight deadlines are imposed or training issues are highlighted Understand the structure and processes of specialist databases with a view to implementation, calculations, error correction, training and fault finding.

Maintaining the user accounts (including self service accounts) ensuring that the security of the databases is upheld, clearing locks and ensuring that the correct procedures are followedUndertakes dataloads to the database and assists in the production of benefit statements where required and any ad hoc data manipulation requirements.
