19. Services Manager - Finance Software

Our client provides the highest quality finance software and services to many UK organisations. Their staff are experienced, highly motivated and professional, and their aim is to provide an exceptional service to their customers. An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Services Manager to join their team. This new role takes responsibility for the Services Division, which is made up of the company's Application Support Desk, and Technical and Business Consultancy Services. You will work in a close knit team, within a company where you will have a voice and opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company.

The ideal Services Manager will be an astute and focused IT professional with the determination to succeed and a track record for bringing in best operational and business practice into a services unit. In this role your main responsibilities will include: managing and assisting the support team and implementing best practice assisting with support desk queries managing consultancy teams - focusing on effective delivery methods and income generation software quality duties - release management and testing customer satisfaction - acting as a point of escalation operational management - providing management KPIs, implementing and enhancing internal supporting systems.

To succeed as the Services Manager you must have experience of operating and managing in a similar services environment. In particular, this must include: support service management consultancy service delivery team management income generation software release and testing. Ideally you will also hold financial qualifications or experience of accountancy principles, Oracle/SQL and/or project management.

As the Services Manager you must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills and be a good team player. You must also have strong communication skills, be able to instill confidence with customers and build lasting relationships with other internal teams and with suppliers.
