91. Finance Manager
Finance Manager to join the team at Abingdon & Witney College, a successful college of further education. CCAB qualified; with post qualification experience, ideally in a service industry; you will be experienced in producing statutory accounts to audit, be able to design and implement financial control systems; and be able to lead a small team of accounting staff. You must be able to achieve deadlines. With some travel between the two main sites, use of a car would be helpful.
Reporting to the Director, Finance you will: management of all financial functions under the direction of the Director, Finance; work with the Director, Finance to prepare annual College budgets from the financial forecasts under-pinning the strategic plan; design, implement and monitor internal systems of financial delegation; production of annual financial accounts in accordance with the LSC financial memorandum and external audit requirements.
Ensure that financial statistics, returns and management reports are produced for both external and internal users, including the governing body; manage effective control systems of cash flow management and expenditure levels to avoid deficits and maximise income; produce monthly cashflow; contribute to the development of business and financial systems in the college; work with Director, Finance to improve procurement strategy and reporting thereof; produce ad-hoc financial reports for the Director.
Finance as required; supervise the maintenance of Fixed Assets register; supervise the payroll function; work with Director, Finance to develop financial models to aid business planning and project costing exercises; update, maintain and disseminate financial regulations procedures and produce guidance manuals for all users of financial services; ensure all reconciliations are performed in a timely manner and reviewed by the Director, Finance; manage external funds and claims.
