78. SUPPORT MANAGER / SERVICES MANAGER - SOFTWARE HOUSE
My client who are a market leading software house are currently looking to add a Support Manager / Services Manager to their growing team based in Bristol. The Support manager will take responsibility for the services division and the application support desk. With a proven track record of managing, organising and motivating teams within a software house environment you will ensure that application support issues are resolved quickly and efficiently and that the professional services team is both professional and profitable.
Your team will also be responsible for user acceptance testing before new software releases go to the customer. Moreover you will understand how a software house operates and the importance of customer satisfaction and service. You must have previously worked in a software house therefore. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with relevant knowledge gained within a software house.
A technical understanding of SQL and Oracle and any knowledge of financial software or accountancy software would be beneficial. Personally you will have strong leadership qualities, have strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms. In addition to this you will have real career aspirations and be prepared to go the extra mile when needed.
